Mortlach’s 2.81 Method
This week we go through the complicated and convoluted 2.81 distillations used to create Mortlach Single Malt Scotch. We try to make it simple. We don’t succeed. Stick around to the end of the video for a lovely cocktail, the Blood and Sand. It’s one of the only classic cocktails that calls for Scotch whisky!

INGREDIENTS
.75 oz Mortlach Wee Witchie Single Malt Scotch (or a blended Scotch)
.75 oz Cherry Herring
.75 oz Sweet Vermouth
.75 oz Blood Orange Juice
DIRECTIONS
Pour all ingredients into a shaker, and fill shaker with ice.
Shake till ice cold, and strain into coupe.
Garnish with expressed orange peel and enjoy.
